bbbThe Center for Energy Policy and Management will host its first Energy Lecture Series of the 2019-2020 season on Wednesday, Oct. 23 at 6 p.m. in the Howard J. Burnett Center at Washington & Jefferson College.
The overall theme of this year’s Series is “Unpacking Energy Efficiency Programs and Certifications.” The Oct. 23 program, “One Size Doesn’t Fit All: Sustainable Design Certifications and Programs and How They Fit the Sustainability Goals of Your Organization,” is free and open to the public.
In this session, two architects from IKM Architecture, Melanie Como Harris and Catherine Adams, will discuss four of the current cutting-edge programs for building sustainable structures: The Living Building Challenge, LEED, Well Building, and Passive House. The speakers will examine the criteria for each and help participants understand how to navigate the programs moving forward.
