DESCRIPTION:Opening Reception & Artist Talk: Friday\, January 29\, 6-7:30 p.m. \nUsing rocks\, bricks\, and automobile tire shreds as mark-making tools\, Athena LaTocha creates large-scale works on paper that explore the tenuous relationship between natural landscapes and landscapes marked by human intervention. LaTocha prefers to work on the floor\, reflecting the relationship between human and landscape\, while choosing unusual drawing tools for their physicality and ability to convey gestural intensity. \n	About the Artist\nAthena LaTocha received her MFA from Stony Brook University\, Stony Brook\, NY\, and her BFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago\, Chicago\, IL.

DESCRIPTION:Put your knowledge of random (and W&J!) topics to the test for the chance to win some W&J swag! Sign up with a team of friends\, or join a College-sponsored team. \nTo attend\, please register at www.jayconnected.com/WJDayOfGiving-Trivia-2021. Instructions for how to access the virtual trivia night\, as well as team and trivia information\, will be sent to you after you’ve completed your registration. \nHow to participate: \nCreate a team with friends: You will need at least five people (no more than 10\, sorry!) and an awesome team name. You can sign up some or all of your teammates using the guest feature during registration (make sure you check off the box “send this guest a copy of the registration email” so they have the Zoom information)\, or pass along your team name to your teammates so they can sign up at a later date. \nJoin an existing team: Did someone create your team already? Just fill in the team name during registration! \nJoin a College-sponsored team: We have several teams created\, either based on region (hello\, past happy hours!) or just based on having awesome names. Please choose from one of our teams if you are signing up as an individual or if you’d like to be on a team with a few friends but do not have the minimum amount to create a team.
