The event is sponsored by Washington & Jefferson College’s Environmental Studies Program. \nWendi Weber was appointed as Northeast Regional Director in 2011. As regional director\, Weber oversees Service activities in 13 states from Maine to Virginia\, and the District of Columbia. She leads more than 800 Service employees working in more than 130 field offices\, including 75 national wildlife refuges and 11 national fish hatcheries that protect more than 536\,000 acres. She also oversees management of the Northeast Canyons and Seamounts Marine National Monument\, which encompasses more than 3.1 million acres in the North Atlantic Ocean. \n

She has spent two decades studying the post-conflict reconstruction of Cambodia following its civil war in the 1990s. She is the author of six books and more than 30 articles and book chapters. The talk is a part of the Walter K. Levy Lecture Series and a featured event of W&J’s International Week.
