After completing her B.S. degree in Physics from Drexel University and a brief stint working in the field of Physics, Patti went on to study Yoga, Meditation, Music, and Teaching. This varied background enables Patti to teach from a variety of perspectives and life experiences. Patti studied Music Performance and graduated from Musicians Institute in Los Angeles. She spent 10 years in the LA area working as a Professional Musician, specializing in Guitar – recording, performing, composing, touring and teaching. Patti also began taking Meditation and Yoga classes during this time. When ready to start a family, she moved back to PA, and became a mom. Patti continued to deepen her studies of Yoga, Meditation, and Wellness, and completed her Yoga and Meditation Teaching Certifications through ShambhavAnanda Yoga and Meditation schools. She went on to become a small business owner and Yoga & Meditation teacher. For 8 years, as the owner of Sri Yantra Yoga Studio in Houston PA, Patti oversaw the daily operations of the business, taught and designed classes, managed teachers, developed, taught and hosted workshops, and collaborated with well respected teachers from across the country. Patti also continued to hone her skills, attending Mindfulness Trainings, Meditation Retreats, and advanced trainings in Yoga and Meditation Teaching methods. Patti accepted an Adjunct Faculty position at Washington and Jefferson College in 2013. She’s been teaching at W&J since, and enjoys teaching Yoga and Meditation courses, Mindfulness in Music, and developing Wellness curriculum.
