Washington Attractions
Bradford House
Built in 1788, this home was the original residence of David Bradford; a successful lawyer, businessman, and Deputy Attorney General of Washington County. Bradford was involved in the Whiskey Rebellion, which started right here in the Washington area!

LeMoyne House
Pennsylvania’s first national Historic Landmark of the Underground Railroad and museum featuring period artifacts. This home and museum is dedicated to Dr. Francis Julius LeMoyne; successful doctor, reformer and builder of the first crematory in the western hemisphere. The Lemoyne House also serves as the headquarters for the Washington County Historical Society.
Main Street Farmers Market
Spend time at this seasonal market where you can purchase locally grown produce, specialty items such as handmade pastas and cheeses, and hear from the area’s talented music scene. The Main Street Farmers Market runs from 3-6pm every Thursday from mid-May to late October.
Meadowcroft Rockshelter and Historic Village
The rockshelter features the earliest signs of human habitation dating back 16,000 years! Visitors can also explore a rural 19th century village, and 16th century prehistoric Indian village.
Mingo Creek County Park
Over 2,600 acres for guests to enjoy hiking, biking, picnic areas, and many seasonal events, including the Covered Bridge Festival.
