Description

Summary

Seeking a specialist in the instruction of Spanish language and culture for the fall semester of 2024. Primary duties include teaching three in-person 4-credit Spanish courses of beginning-level Spanish and three office hours a week. Other responsibilities include routine collaboration with Spanish Program faculty, specifically the Coordinator of Beginning & Intermediate Spanish.

Qualifications

Native or near-native proficiency and experience teaching college or university students preferred. Instructors must have at minimum an MA or be ABD in Spanish or a related field. Specialization in Second Language Acquisition and language-teaching methodology preferred. The candidate we seek has innovative language teaching skills, expertise in Spanish instruction at the novice levels, and familiarity with technologies that support learning and communication in the classroom and beyond, e.g., Zoom, Teams.
