Collaborating with the Guangdong University of Education (GUE), this project focuses on the interaction between the Hakka culture and the natural environment, with an emphasis on their residential houses, such as Weilongwu (the closed dragon house) and Tulou (the earth building).
W&J Assistant Professor of Chinese Han Ye, Ph.D., and rising junior Cierra Hilliary '21 traveled to GUE to complete research with faculty and students at the university.
