Calling student designers, artists, or those with great ideas! For the first time, W&J will have a float in the City of Washington’s Holiday Parade and we want your design to shine! There are just a few guidelines:
  • The float must be red and black
  • Must include the Old Main towers
  • Must include the full name of the College (i.e. “Washington & Jefferson College,” rather than “W&J” or another abbreviation)
  • Should be festive and W&J-themed (snowflakes, candy-canes, etc.), and not specific to a religious holiday.
Use your creativity to come up with the rest! Submit designs to the Student Activities Board by Oct. 15, 2019. Digital submissions in PDF format can be emailed to sab@jay.washjeff.edu. Hand-drawn submissions can be scanned and emailed, or delivered in person to the SAB office in The Hub.
Students can then vote on their favorite design in The Commons, and the winner will be chosen on Oct. 18. The design winner will receive a $50 Campus Store gift card!
Building begins on Oct. 23 – keep an eye out for more info and calls for volunteers. All participants will receive a t-shirt!
