Jennifer Bayline, Ph.D.

Associate Professor and Chair of Chemistry

Academic Program: Art Conservation, Chemistry

Degrees: Ph.D. Chemistry, The University of Florida; B.A. Chemistry and French, Rollins College

Jennifer Bayline is an associate professor in the Department of Chemistry. Her area of interest is creating nanoscopic structures using diblock copolymers and developing these thin films as templates for other molecules. Her favorite polymer is polystyrene-b-poly(ethylene oxide) (PS-PEO), having extensively studied it both in graduate school and during her postdoctoral work at Harvey Mudd College. Dr. Bayline also did PS-PEO synthesis at the Université Bordeaux in France as both an undergraduate and a graduate student. She primarily teaches organic and analytical chemistry but has also taught courses on perfume chemistry and art conservation.
