Dr. Linda M. Edwards is registered nurse with over 25 years of healthcare experience with clinical practice nursing focus in adult health, sub-acute rehab nursing, geropsychiatry nursing, and gerontological nursing. Edwards academic nursing leadership spans several roles serving as Clinical Nurse Educator for Professional Development and Practice, Director of Nursing, Nurse Administrator, Department Chair of Nursing, and Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs in the School of nursing. Edwards is a member of the American Nurses Association, National League of Nursing, inductee of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, and a 2023 Cohort III graduate of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) Diversity Leadership Institute. Edwards research interest includes population health with focus on gender-based HIV health disparities, and targeted HIV programs promoting thoughtfulness, compassion, client-centered interactions. Edwards has led gender-based HIV health disparity education events in Liberia, West Africa, conducting Community health Outreach Worker training seminars.
