WASHINGTON, PA (Sept. 26, 2018)—We know how it goes. You get the mailers. You see the Facebook ads. You visit the website and try to get a picture of the college you’re considering, and then send out a flurry of applications and hope for the best.
At Washington & Jefferson College (W&J), we don’t want you to just cross your fingers and hope you’re making the right decision. We want to show you what W&J can do for you—and meeting you face-to-face is at the top of our to-do list!
Why? We’re glad you asked.
- College is more than a few pictures online and a list of academic majors. It’s an experience. You’re going to be here the next four years of your life; don’t you want to know what that will be like? Come talk to our professors, meet our students, and tour the campus – we’d love to show you around!
- We really want to meet you. Every member of the W&J community—from students, faculty and staff, all the way up to our fearless leader, President John C. Knapp—want to get to know you and see you succeed. We’re a tight knit community at W&J, and you get to see that first-hand when you’re on campus with us.
- You could get paid for it. We’re not kidding! At W&J, high school seniors and transfer students who complete a campus visit to W&J through the Office of Admission qualify for our $1,000 Visit Grant. Students will receive their Visit Grant as part of their financial aid award once they apply and are accepted for spring 2019, fall 2019, or spring 2020 term. The grant is renewed in the same amount each year you are a student at W&J, as long as you remain in good academic standing and make your visit prior to April 13, 2019.
