WASHINGTON, PA (Dec. 7, 2015)—The Washington & Jefferson College (W&J) Arts Series will kick off the holiday season with Joshua Kane’s “An Olde Fashioned New England Christmas” at Olin Fine Arts Center on Dec. 13 at 3 p.m.

This holiday-themed event includes an audience sing-along, and a hot cider and cookie reception for the Washington community to enjoy. Tickets are required and can be reserved by contacting Olin Box Office at 724-223-OLIN (6546).

A renowned mentalist, Kane previously performed at the Art Series with a show called “Borders of the Mind.” However, this year Kane will be offering the W&J community something new.

“We decided to bring him back because his mentalist show was so intriguing and enthralling,” said Arlene Shaw, Olin’s House Manager. “We went with a Christmas show because they are a big draw.”

During his performance, Kane will do a story-telling and narrate Christmas tales with his Shakespearean-trained dramatic acting voice - all without the help of multi-media. Kane will be doing renditions from O. Henry's Gift of the Magi, Dickens' Christmas Stories, Frost and other beloved holiday tales. This old-timey event is open to the public (tickets required) and Shaw hopes this event will bring Olin a large crowd.

*The Olin Box Office is open Monday through Friday from noon to 6 p.m., and all day on the day of a show. Olin Fine Arts Center and the Box Office are located at 285 East Wheeling Street in Washington, Pa. 15301, and can be reached at 724-223-6546.
