Contributing to the world in which we live is one of the many admirable qualities of our Presidents, and W&J Head Athletic Trainer Mike Lesako is showing our students how it’s done!

Yesterday and today, Mike has a table set up in The Commons lobby during lunch to collect donations through Real Men Wear Pink of Washington County Strides Against Breast Cancer, a part of the American Cancer Society (ACS) that raises funds for breast cancer initiatives. He’ll also be at Saturday’s football game to meet even more students.

Mike explained his dedication to the cause in his own words:

“I’m raising money for breast cancer awareness through the breast cancer awareness society. I was approached because my mother passed away in 2011 after an 8-year battle with cancer. I just want to make people more aware of this deadly disease and try to make money to find a cure.”

Make sure you stop by to visit Mike and make a donation! For a $1 donation, you can receive a pink ACS wristband; for a $3 donation, a wristband and a name card of someone you would like to honor to be displayed on campus; and for a $5 donation, you get a wristband, name card and chance to win a gift card!
