WASHINGTON, PA (March 25, 2014)—The Center for Energy Policy and Management (CEPM) at Washington & Jefferson College (W&J) will present “A Vision for Coal” March 26 at 6:30 p.m. at the College’s Howard J. Burnett Center’s Yost Auditorium.
The program is the final event that will take place this academic year as part of the W&J Energy Lecture Series.
Steve Winberg, vice president, research and development, Consol Energy Inc., and Dr. Peter C. Balash, deputy director, Office of Strategic Energy Analysis and Planning, National Energy Technology Laboratory, Department of Energy, will discuss the role they envision for coal in the coming years in the domestic and international markets, addressing both technological and economic issues.
“We look forward to welcoming our speakers and hearing what they have to say in leading a timely discussion about an important topic,” said Diana Stares, director of the CEPM. “Our energy lecture series this year has facilitated discussions on many topics important to our energy future and I look forward to this one being no different.”
