Dr. Knapp and his wife, Kelly, strongly believe that a college campus is a home for students, and they want to get to know W&J students whenever possible.

Dr. Knapp is both president and professor at W&J, and he enjoys spending time in the classroom when possible. He periodically leads guest lectures and discussions, especially in his expert areas of philosophy, ethics, and religious studies.

Outside of the classroom, the Knapps host fun events throughout the year that bring students and campus community members together at the President’s House. A favorite new tradition is the ornament signing and cookie decorating party that helps kick off the winter holiday season. The ornaments decorated by students are hung on the holiday tree in the yard of the President’s House in another special event that includes caroling, s’mores, and music by W&J’s wind ensemble members.

And speaking of s’mores – keep an eye out for campus announcements from Dr. Knapp! Throughout the year, and especially around finals time, he and Kelly like to host special food events that give students a study break.
